PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Two marked PPD vehicles were involved in a crash early Friday evening, June 17, that caused a traffic light to collapse in Paterson, according to Daily Voice.
The Paterson Police Department said the accident occurred at the intersection of Straight Street and Van Houten Street/College Boulevard.
While the cause of the crash remains unclear, officials said the two department vehicles were responding to a call at a nearby scene when they collided. All involved occupants were able to safely vacate the SUVs.
No major injuries were reported, but both vehicles required tow services. No other vehicles were impacted by the incident.
The intersection was shut down for some time during the response and initial investigation.
