BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 10-year-old boy was sent to a hospital Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at a Teaneck intersection, according to Daily Voice.

Teaneck Police said the incident occurred at the corner of Sagamore Avenue and Garrison Avenue at about 3:30 p.m.

Few details have been shared, but witnesses said the child was on a bicycle when he was hit by a female driver in a white sedan. The vehicle then continued northbound on Garrison Avenue without stopping.

First responders transported the boy to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries believed to be minor.

An investigation remains ongoing, but one witness was able to provide responding officers with the vehicle’s registration. Investigators have since been pursuing leads, and are working on identifying and locating the driver.
