4 people hospitalized after Paramus multi-vehicle crash involving dump truck

PARAMUS, NJ – Four people were injured after a major collision on Route 17 southbound Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Daily Voice, the crash happened around 1 p.m. on the southbound lanes of Route 17 just south of Ridgewood Avenue.

Three vehicles involved were seriously damaged. The dump truck was overturned resulting in a mess of gravel, fluid and other debris spilled into the roadway.

Three victims in the crash were transported to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Another victim with more serious injuries was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The conditions of those involved as well as what led up to the crash are not clear at this time.
