GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Two people were airlifted to a hospital after a two-vehicle wreck Thursday morning in Franklin Township that also injured two others, reports Daily Voice.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Stanton Avenue and Coles Mill Road, in the Franklinville area. Franklin Township Police and first responders arrived on the scene shortly after 6:55 a.m.
An early investigation found that a 55-year-old Vineland woman was driving a van southbound on Stanton Avenue when it hit a dump truck heading westbound on Coles Mill Road. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to roll and land in a nearby field.
Two male passengers in the van, ages 31 and 42, also of Vineland, were flown to Camden’s Cooper University Hospital, where both patients were listed in critical condition.
The driver of the van, who suffered neck and hip injuries, was transported to an area hospital.
Authorities said the driver of the truck, a 51-year-old Willingboro man, sustained injuries considered minor.
An investigation remains in progress, and no pending charges have been reported as of this writing.
