PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — One person died early Tuesday after a rollover wreck that left two others seriously injured in northeast Clifton, according to Daily Voice.
The fatal accident happened on the northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near milepost 157.9, north of County Route 624. It was first reported at around 5:43 a.m.
New Jersey State Police said a BMW X5 was traveling northbound when, for reasons still being investigated, it ran off the roadway and struck a group of trees and a guardrail. The vehicle then rolled and returned to the roadway.
All of the BMW’s three occupants were ejected in the crash, and one person died from their injuries at the scene.
Officials said the other two victims suffered serious injuries. No updates on their conditions have been released at this time.
An investigation was underway.
