BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Authorities have released updated details that indicate the wrong-way driver was killed in Wednesday’s head-on crash in Willingboro, reports Daily Voice.

The fatal accident happened in the 4200 block of U.S. Route 130 (Burlington Pike), at around 12:30 a.m.

According to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, a driver in an SUV was traveling southbound in the highway’s northbound lane. At one point, the SUV struck a sedan head-on, causing the second vehicle to catch on fire before it was rear-ended by a third car.

Daily Voice initially indicated that the driver of the sedan was killed in the crash, but the BCPO has since released more information that shows the driver of the SUV — the wrong-way driver — was pronounced deceased.
