Injuries reported after crash on GSP in Cranford Township

UNION COUNTY, NJ — At least one person was injured Wednesday night due to a collision on the Garden State Parkway in southeast Cranford Township, according to 511NJ GSP.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes of the parkway, north of Exit 136 to North Stiles Street and Centennial Avenue. It was first recorded by 511NJ at 9:05 p.m.

Officials have not provided any information regarding the cause of the wreck, but three left lanes out of five total southbound lanes were blocked as a result.

Not long after the initial report, the scene had been cleared from the the roadway and all travel lanes were restored to traffic.


At this time, the number of people hurt and the extent of their injuries remains unknown.
