MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A crash early Sunday on Interstate 295 in Hamilton Township claimed the life of a 22-year-old man, reports Daily Voice.
The single-vehicle accident happened on the northbound side of I-295 at milepost 63, just south of the Cypress Lane overpass. It was first reported shortly after 3:44 a.m.
New Jersey State Police said the young man was driving northbound in a Honda when, for reasons not yet disclosed, he failed to negotiate the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the interstate before striking a tree and then a concrete bridge support.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials. He has since been identified as Cameron Boyle, a Morris Plains resident.
