BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An elderly woman was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after her vehicle crashed into a Whole Foods store in Ridgewood, according to Daily Voice.

The accident happened at the location off of Godwin Avenue at around 1:45 p.m.

Preliminary details indicate the woman was behind the wheel of a 2018 Q5 Audi when it struck a corner of the building near the automatic doors. It was unclear what caused the wreck, but photos taken at the scene show the vehicle was packed with items at the time.

First responders took the female driver to Ridewood’s The Valley Hospital with undisclosed injuries. No updates on her condition have been released.

No other injuries have been reported, but authorities said due to the point of impact, the building appeared to have sustained structural damage.

Multiple agencies, including village police, firefighters, and the city’s chief construction code official, responded to the incident. No charges have been reported at this time.
