Woman Injured After Crash Into Liquor Store

NEWARK, NJ – A woman was severely injured after crashing into a liquor store in Newark’s West Ward on Tuesday, May 5 just before 7:20 p.m., according to reports.

The woman lost control of her vehicle and came within several feet from striking the main gas line of Home Liquor on Springfield Avenue and South 16th Street.

Newark firefighters arrived and found the woman injured and trapped inside her vehicle.

The woman is reported to have suffered a broken leg among other injuries and rushed to University Hospital.
