Woman extricated after rollover crash on NJ-17 in Wood-Ridge

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 66-year-old Belleville woman was sent to a hospital Monday night after a rollover wreck on Route 17 in Wood-Ridge, reports Daily Voice.

The accident occurred on the southbound highway outside the Element New York Wood-Ridge hotel, just before 9:00 p.m.

Authorities have not said disclosed the circumstances of the wreck, but the woman was behind the wheel of a vehicle that overturned.

First responders had to extricate the female driver from the vehicle before transporting her to Hackensack University Medical Center. Officials said she suffered injuries to her head and at least one arm.

One report indicated another occupant was taken to the hospital with more minor injuries, but authorities have not confirmed.

Wood-Ridge Police were assisted by Hasbrouck Heights Police during the emergency response.
