GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — A 75-year-old woman died Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle crash on Route 45 in Harrison Township, reports Daily Voice.

The accident took place in the 200 block of Bridgeton Pike (Route 45), in the Mullica Hill area. It was first reported at around 8:35 a.m.

According to Harrison Township Police, Georgette Hayes, an Elk Township resident, was traveling in a 2012 Ford Fiesta heading southbound on the road. At one point, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle entered the northbound lane and collided with a 2023 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a Mullica Hills resident.

First responders rushed Hayes to Inspira Medical Center of Mullica Hill, where she succumbed to her injuries.

An unspecified number of people in the Ford F-150 were also taken to the hospital for injuries considered non-life-threatening.

No other details have been shared at this time, but an investigation was being carried out by Patrolman Thomas Watts and Sergeant Kurt Pflugfelder.
