CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — A Philadelphia man died Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Lawnside, according to Daily Voice.

The fatal accident happened on the northbound lanes at milepost 30.5. New Jersey State Police were called to the scene shortly after 2:07 p.m.

Investigators say the man was driving a Ford F-150 northbound in the center lane when the Ford sideswiped a Subaru Forester heading northbound in the right lane.

The impact sent the Ford into the left guardrail, causing the vehicle to roll onto its driver’s side and come to rest in the center lane. The Subaru spun clockwise before coming to a south-facing stop in the right shoulder.

Officials confirmed the Philadelphia man died from fatal injuries in the crash.

The driver of the Subaru was not reported hurt.

Authorities have part of northbound I-295 closed from mileposts 26 to 31 for about five hours. Heavy backups were reported in the area.

No other details have been shared at this time. Authorities continue to investigate.
