EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ- A large truck fire occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike in East Rutherford, causing delays on the roadway on Friday according to local media sources.
At approximately 5:15am, a truck carrying bakery goods burst into flames, needing the attention of officials and New Jersey firefighters. The driver was able to escape the vehicle that remained on the roadway near exit 16W.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident. There have been no reported injuries at this time, however, this accident is still under investigation. Further updates are pending.
