Truck driver killed on industrial road in South Brunswick

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – A tractor-trailer crash on an industrial road in South Brunswick killed one person on Monday night, according to NJ.com.

The fatal crash took place on Corn Road around 9:15 p.m. The flatbed trailer was entangled with the truck cab and the driver had been trapped inside.

Firefighters from Monmouth Junction used the Jaws of Life in an attempt to get the driver out and also requested a tow truck to try and separate the roof of the cab from the body.

After extricating the 60-year-old man, firefighters and EMS performed life-saving treatment but the driver was pronounced dead the scene.

His identity has been withheld pending family notification.

The accident remains under investigation.
