BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A rollover crash involving a big rig last Monday, August 21, closed part of the New Jersey Turnpike in Westampton Township, reports Daily Voice.
The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of the turnpike, near Exit 5 to County Road 541. It was first recorded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation at around 10:00 a.m.
While it remains unclear what caused the wreck, New Jersey State Police said the semi collided with a guardrail before rolling over.
No major injuries to the driver or anyone else were reported, but all southbound lanes and the left shoulder were closed as crews worked to clear the scene.
No further information has been provided, and no charges have been reported following the event.
