Teen riding e-scooter hit, injured by vehicle in Linden

UNION COUNTY, NJ — A 15-year-old boy was injured Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter in Linden, according to local media.

The incident took place in the area of Summit Terrace and Princeton Road. Linden Police and EMS personnel responded to the scene shortly after.

Few details have been released, but authorities said the teenager ran a stop sign while operating the scooter and was subsequently hit by a vehicle.

The boy suffered injuries described as “minor.” It was unclear whether he had to be taken to a hospital, but he is expected to make a recovery.
