MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — An 18-year-old woman died last Thursday afternoon in Colts Neck after a rollover crash that injured another teenager, reports Daily Voice.

The accident took place on a stretch of Laird Road just west of Long Bridge Road, on May 11, at around 12:30 p.m.

While the circumstances behind the wreck remain unclear, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the young woman, a senior at Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel, was a passenger in a Jeep Cherokee that overturned. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep, 17, was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. His identity has been withheld by authorities due to his age.

No further information has been provided at this time, as an investigation remains underway. As of Friday, May 12, no charges have been reported.
