BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 17-year-old boy was injured Saturday afternoon due to a single-vehicle wreck that damaged a utility pole in Ridgewood, according to Daily Voice.
The accident happened on West End Avenue near Orchard Place at around 12:00 p.m.
Authorities did not say what led up to the crash, but the teen was driving an Audi Q7 when it struck and shattered the pole.
First responders transported the teen to The Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Photos taken at the scene show significant damage to the hood of the SUV, which had to be towed away. Crews with PSE&G were called to repair the the pole, which was left leaning at an angle toward the roadway.
At this time, no pending charges have been reported.
