CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — A 16-year-old boy was fatally injured Wednesday, February 8, when he was hit by vehicle near Springhouse Farm in Cherry Hill, reports Daily Voice.
Cherry Hill Police responded to the scene on Springdale Road, near the entrance to the farm, at about 5:00 a.m.
Little information has been shared, but authorities said the teen was struck by a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Mount Laurel man who fled the scene.
The victim, who was found suffering from life-threatening injuries, was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police were later able to locate the involved vehicle and driver. On Saturday, February 18, the suspect was arrested and charged with “knowingly leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident” and “endangering the welfare of a victim.”
