ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — A 14-year-old Pleasantville resident was hospitalized Saturday evening after colliding with a vehicle while on a bicycle in Somers Point, reports Daily Voice.
The incident occurred on a bike path along Ocean Heights Avenue on November 5, at around 6:00 p.m.
Few details have been released, but Somers Point Police said the teen’s bike was hit by a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Atlantic City resident.
The victim suffered critical injuries and was first taken to Atlanticare Trauma Center before being airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center. No updates on the patient’s condition have been released.
At this time, authorities have ruled out speed as a factor in the crash. No summonses have been issued as of this writing.
