ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle overturned in a crash Tuesday morning on the New Jersey Turnpike near Newark Liberty International Airport, according to 511NJ TPK.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of the turnpike’s inner roadway, just north of Interchange 14 to Interstate 78 and U.S Highway 1/9. It was first reported by 511NJ shortly after 8:00 a.m.
Officials have not released the cause of the wreck, but one left lane of three total southbound lanes were blocked as a result.

At this time, it remains unclear how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was seriously hurt.
