BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Property damage was reported late Thursday morning after a vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike near Mansfield Township, according to 511NJ TPK.
The accident took place on the southbound lanes of the turnpike’s outer roadway, south of Interchange 6 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It was first reported by 511NJ at 11:57 a.m.
Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the event, but at least one vehicle came to rest off the roadway following the impact, which left damage to an unspecified road structure.
The left lane and shoulder out of three total southbound lanes were closed in the immediate aftermath.

By 12:26 p.m., nearly 30 minutes later, the left lane remained blocked as crews conducted “emergency maintenance” at the scene.
