Property damage crash reported on NJT at US-1/9 in Newark

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Property damage was reported Wednesday morning on the Western Spur of the New Jersey Turnpike in east Newark, according to 511NJ TPK.

Authorities said the wreck occurred on the Interchange 15E ramp connecting the westbound lanes of the turnpike to U.S. Route 1/9. It was first recorded by 511NJ at 8:25 a.m.

At this time, no information on the nature of the crash or the involved vehicles has been shared, but all other travel lanes were said to be open at the time of the initial report.
