FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ- A Fort Lee motorcycle police officer was injured in an off-duty crash on Route 208 in Franklin Lakes on Tuesday afternoon, reports Daily Voice.
Officer Alejandro Lorenzo was injured at approximately 4:30pm in a crash on Route 208 near Summit Avenue. He was subsequently transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, complaining of hip pain. According to officials, he was not on-duty at the time of the accident, and no other injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.
The injuries are not reported to be life-threatening. We are monitoring for updates.
