Police officer injured after utility pole crash in Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ – A police officer was injured in a single-vehicle accident with a utility pole at a busy Passaic intersection on Friday night.

According to Daily Voice, the officer was driving a marked SUV police vehicle when the accident happened at Main Avenue and Prospect Street. A picture from the accident shows the vehicle partially smashed by the utility pole on top of it.

The officer’s injuries were minor and he is expected to make a full recovery.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing. Further information, including the cause of the accident, is expected to be released once the investigation is complete.
