Police Chase Ends in Crash That Injures Two in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ – Two people were injured after a driver refused to stop for police and initiated a pursuit into Paterson on Tuesday night.

According to RLS Media, the driver ignored the lights and sirens of an officer attempting to stop the car in the area of I-80 at about 9:25 p.m. The driver fled from the officer, initiating a pursuit through Paterson. Finally, the suspect crashed in the 500 block of East 33rd Street.

Two people, including the driver, were extricated from the vehicle and taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver will be charged following the incident.
