BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Utility lines were downed after a pickup truck collided with a power pole Monday morning in northwest Paramus, according to Daily Voice.
The Paramus Police Department said the accident occurred on Paramus Road just past Midland Avenue, near Mill Run. Officers responded to the scene at about 8:30 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a 57-year-old Hillsdale man was driving a Chevy Silverado, when, for reasons still being investigated, he became disoriented. Moments later, the vehicle struck the pole, causing the lines to come down.
It was unclear whether the male driver was hurt, but he declined medical attention.
Part of Paramus Road was projected to stayed blocked for several hours as crews cleared and processed the scene.
At this time, no charges have been reported.
