NEWARK, NJ – A pedestrian in south Newark experienced heavy bleeding and suffered severe wounds when they were hit by a driver on Thursday.
According to RLS Media, the crash occurred near 26 Elizabeth Avenue, located near the Donald Tucker community center, at about 9 p.m., when the victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was hit by a vehicle.
The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that, although severe, were not considered to be life-threatening.
It is unclear at this time if the driver remained at the scene of the accident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision at this time.
