Pedestrian killed in Gloucester Township

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in Gloucester Township on Monday morning, according to NJ.com.

The vehicle was driving north on Old Black Horse Pike near the intersection with Hilltop Avenue at around around 12:45 a.m. when it struck the unidentified pedestrian.

The pedestrian died at the scene. Police are withholding his identity pending notification of the victim’s family.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The roadway was closed for several hours after the accident while investigators cleared the scene.
