Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver on Rt. 4, body not discovered for hrs

ENGLEWOOD, NJ – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Route 4 early this morning, and his body was not discovered until hours after the crash.

According to information from the Daily Voice, the collision happened in Englewood on westbound Rt. 4 near the Dean Street overpass between 3:30 a.m.-4 a.m.

A pedestrian who was described only as a Black man in his 50s was struck and killed by a driver who then fled the scene.

The victim’s body was thrown into the air and then wedged between a guardrail and wall. He was discovered at around 7 a.m.
