Pedestrian killed after being hit by car in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A pedestrian pushing a bicycle was killed early this morning after a vehicle collided with him in Atlantic City, according to WPG Talk Radio.

The accident happened at about 3:15 a.m., near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Michigan Avenue.

The victim, 29-year-old Atlantic City man Thomas Kovsh, was pushing a bicycle along the eastbound lanes of Atlantic Avenue when he was struck by a Toyota. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of injuries sustained during the crash.

The driver, 24-year-old Murray Kanter, of Ventnor, stopped to render aid after the collision.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
