Pedestrian hit, killed by vehicle off I-280 EB in Harrison

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — One person died Sunday morning following a pedestrian crash on an Interstate 280 ramp in Harrison, according to local media.

The fatal incident occurred on the eastbound I-280 ramp at Harrison Avenue. Local police and first responders were called to the scene at around 9:30 a.m.

Authorities have not released a sequence of events leading up to the crash, but the pedestrian was found seriously injured and lying at the base of the ramp.

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed at this time, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two drivers were seen cooperating with officers at the scene, but it was not immediately clear whether both were involved.

An investigation remains open and ongoing.
