Pedestrian Hit by Company Vehicle Accepts Settlement

>
JERSEY CITY, NJ – A pedestrian who was struck by a Bergen County manufacturing company’s vehicle in Jersey City has accepted a $675,000 settlement, according to the Daily Voice.

The victim, 33-year-old Jose Rojas, was crossing Barrow Street when he was hit by a vehicle owned by a Moonachie-based company on November 19, 2018.

Rojas fractured his right leg and ankle, leaving him with a permanent limp.

Rojas argued that the driver, Guido Openner, overlooked a stop sign and hit him as he was walking through the crosswalk.

The manufacture company paid Rojas $675,000 to prevent a trial.
