GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — A 61-year-old Maryland man was fatally injured last Wednesday, November 23, when he was hit by a vehicle in downtown Paulsboro, according to NJ.com.
The incident took place at the intersection of East Broad Street and South Delaware Street, just before 9;30 p.m.
Little information has been released, but the Paulsboro Police Department said a driver in a dark-colored sedan struck the male pedestrian and left the scene.
It was unclear whether the victim died at the scene or at a hospital.
As of this writing, authorities continue to investigate and search for the fleeing driver.
