Pedestrian dies after being hit by two cars in Hamilton

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A man in his 30s died Thursday morning after being struck by two vehicles on East Park Avenue in Hamilton Township, reports Daily Voice.

The fatal incident occurred at the intersection with Berg Avenue, near George E. Wilson Elementary School. It was first reported shortly after 6:30 a.m.

Hamilton Police said the male pedestrian was initially hit by a 2022 Honda HRV driven traveling eastbound on East Park Avenue. The driver of the Honda, a 39-year-old man, stopped and got out of the vehicle. Moments later, the victim was hit again by an eastbound 2013 Nissan Altima driven by a 20-year-old man.

Both male drivers remained at the scene and alerted authorities.

Crews with Hamilton Fire Division and Trenton EMS responded to the scene where the victim was pronounced deceased.

At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.

An investigation by the Hamilton Police Division’s Traffic Unit was underway.
