ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — A 36-year-old woman was killed early Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on Route 54 near Buena Vista Township, reports Daily Voice.
New Jersey State Police confirmed the fatal crash happened at the intersection of NJ-54 and U.S. Route 40, at about 1:00 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a 41-year-old Vineland man was driving a Honda Civic southbound on NJ-54. As the Civic entered the intersection with US-40, it was hit by a Lexus L46 driven by a 62-year-old Delaware man.
The woman, who was a passenger in the Honda, was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, no other identifying information has been disclosed.
The drivers of the Honda and the Lexus suffered serious and moderate injuries, respectively.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. No pending charges have been reported as of this writing.
