Overturned truck causes major delays in Oakland

OAKLAND, NJ – An overturned tractor-trailer caused major delays on Interstate 287 in Oakland on Friday morning, according to 511 New Jersey.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes near Exit 59 for New Jersey 208. The overturned truck was reported at about 5 a.m.

The truck accident closed the right lane and the shoulder lane. Delays for drivers increased during the morning from 5 minutes to 15 minutes and finally up to 30 minutes. Delays had begun to decrease by the afternoon, but the accident was still affecting the two lanes.

No injuries were reported in the Friday morning crash.
