EDISON, NJ – Major delays were reported on I-287 after a dump truck overturned near Edison on Wednesday afternoon.
According to NJ DoT, the truck overturned shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Exit 1 to US-1.

It is unclear what caused the truck to overturn. However, all southbound lanes of the freeway were closed for some time afterward while crews worked to clear the scene.
