HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ — A rollover crash involving a tractor-trailer Wednesday morning closed part of westbound Interstate 78 in Clinton Township, reports local media.
New Jersey State Police said the accident occurred at 3:40 a.m. on the westbound lanes between exits 13 and 16, prompting a traffic detour at Exit 15.
It was unclear what caused the big rig to overturn, but the truck, which was transporting wooden pallets, left debris on the roadway, blocking traffic. Authorities said it would take crews about 12 hours to clear the scene.
As of this writing, no serious injuries have been reported.
Westbound motorists were warned of 20-minute delays as they approach the impacted area.
