One dead after being trapped in car fire in Mercer County

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – One person suffered fatal injuries after a crash trapped them in their burning vehicle in East Windsor on Sunday evening.

According to RLS Media, the accident happened in the area of Route 133 and 1 Mile Road intersection at about 5:40 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters immediately began to extinguish the flames.

The victim was trapped inside and died at the scene.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the accident.
