Officer crashes in Clark with charity ride participant

CLARK, NJ – A police officer and participant in a 50-mile charity motorcycle ride were injured when they collided in Clark on Sunday afternoon.

According to Daily Voice, the Union County police sergeant was escorting a group of motorcyclists who were raising money for Jason’s Friends Foundation, a local cancer charity, when he crashed with another rider.

The accident happened near where Lake Avenue intersects with Cellar Avenue at about 12:40 p.m.

Both involved parties were transported to a local hospital. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
