Motorcyclist seriously hurt in collision near NW Ridgewood

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — One person suffered serious injuries Monday morning when their motorcycle collided with a garbage truck in northwest Ridgewood, reports Daily Voice.

The accident happened in a residential area near North Monroe Street and the Woodfield Court cul-de-sac at about 10:30 a.m.

Officials have not shared the circumstances behind the event, but crews with the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps rushed the motorcyclist to Hackensack University Medical Center. At this time, the severity of his condition has not been released.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and Village firefighters also worked the scene.

A section of North Monroe Street between Hillcrest Road and Shelbourne Terrace was shut down during the response and investigation.
