HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 31-year-old Cliffside Park man died Sunday morning after being ejected from his motorcycle in a multi-vehicle crash near North Bergen, reports Hudson County View.
The fatal collision was reported at 1008 Tonnelle Avenue, just north of 10th Street, at about 5:00 a.m.
According to North Bergen Police, the man was operating a motorcycle northbound on Tonnelle Avenue at a high rate of speed when a car traveling westbound on 10th Street entered the northbound lanes of Tonnelle Avenue.
Officials said the motorcyclist collided with the back of the car, causing the rider to be thrown off his bike. Moments later, he was run over by a second vehicle.
The rider was pronounced deceased on the scene, confirmed police.
No pending charges or citations have been reported as of this writing, but an investigation remains underway.
