MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, NJ- A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle collision in Middle Township on Saturday, according to NJ.com.
The 67-year-old motorcyclist, George J. Loomis Jr, was headed westbound towards the intersection of Indian Trail Road and Route 47 when he lost control of his bike and hit a guard rail. Officials say it was raining at the time of the crash, and the wet road could have played a role in the incident. Loomis was transported to an area hospital by officials shortly after, but was pronounced dead at the hospital not long after the incident.
No further injuries have been reported, and no more information about the accident is available at this time. We will be monitoring for updates.
