WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A 32-year-old Jersey City man died Friday evening after his motorcycle was hit by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 in Hope Township, reports local media.

The fatal wreck occurred on the westbound lanes near milepost 11.6, about half a mile past the Hope Blairstown Road exit. New Jersey State Police troopers responded to the scene just after 5:21 p.m.

Details remain limited, but officials said the man was riding a Honda motorcycle westbound. At one point, the rear of the bike was hit by a westbound Volvo tractor-trailer, causing the rider to eject.

Officials said the victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.

No information on the big rig driver has been released at this time, but an investigation remains ongoing.
