Motorcyclist dies after crash with truck in Somers Point

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — A 49-year-old Egg Harbor Township man died Monday morning after his motorcycle collided with a flatbed truck in Somers Point, according to Daily Voice.

The accident occurred on a span of Bethel Road, a few hundred feet west of U.S. Route 9, at about 9:20 a.m.

Somers Point Police did not say what led up to the wreck, but the motorcycle struck the side of a MAC flatbed carrier truck.

The rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials. He has since been identified as Vincent Sanborn IV.

No injuries to the truck driver were reported.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. No charges have been reported.
