MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A man was hospitalized with critical head injuries Tuesday night after his motorcycle hit multiple vehicles in West Windsor Township, reports Daily Voice.

West Windsor Township Police and multiple area agencies responded to the scene on a stretch of Old Trenton Road after receiving calls at 7:34 p.m.

An early investigation shows the man was operating a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle heading northbound on the road. At one point, for reasons still unknown, the bike hit the back of a 2004 Freightliner tractor-trailer. After entering the southbound lane of the road, the bike then collided with a 2019 Toyota Highlander. The rider was ejected into the southbound lane while the motorcycle traveled back into the northbound lane, where it was hit by a 2020 Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The motorcyclist, who suffered serious, life-threatening head injuries, was rushed to Capitol Health Regional Medical Center. First responders also transported the F-150 driver to the hospital with a back injury considered non-life-threatening.

A section of Old Trenton Road was shut down for over four hours during the emergency response.

No other details have been provided, as an investigation remains in progress.
