CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ — A 72-year-old man died Wednesday afternoon in Millville after being struck by a pickup truck while using a motorized wheelchair, reports Daily Voice.
The fatal incident occurred on the West Main Street at the intersection with Riverside Drive, on April 12 at about 12:18 p.m.
According to authorities, a 20-year-old man was driving a Chevy Silverado when he turned life from West Main Street onto Riverside Drive, where he hit the man, who was traveling across the crosswalk in his wheelchair.
First responders rushed the pedestrian to Medical Center Vineland, where he was pronounced deceased.
No injuries to the driver of the Chevy Silverado were reported, and no charges have been filed at this time.
An investigation remains ongoing.
