Man dies after pickup truck hits tree in Lawrence Township

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ — A 52-year-old Cedarville man died early Wednesday morning after his vehicle collided with a tree in Lawrence Township, according to Daily Voice.

New Jersey State Police said the fatal wreck occurred on Lummistown Road at around 12:10 a.m.

A preliminary investigation shows the man was driving a Ford F-250 pickup truck westbound, when, for reasons still unknown, the pickup traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Officials said the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle suffered fatal injuries. It was unclear whether he died at the scene or at a hospital.

No further information has been released. NJSP continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
